نظرخواهی در مورد متن ایمیل به استادان

به نظرتون برای اینکه ایمیل حالت کلی داشته باشه اساتید رو Dr یا Professor خطاب کنیم بهتره؟

چون ممکنه طرفAssistant Professor باشه،من خودم از Dr استفاده کردم؟

به نظر من و بدون توجه به مرتبه علمی استاد، بهتر است که از لفظ Professor استفاده کنید چون رسمی تر است.

در کل متن خوبی نوشتید، ولی به نظر من کلمه joining وسط این جمله جفت و جور نشده و بهتر این طور بگید:

I am confident that joining your research group as a PhD student will help me achieve my academic objectives.

همچنین جمله آخر رو به نظرم این طور تغییر بدید:

let me know if I have any chance to continue my studies towards a PhD degree under your supervision

بعد بگید که research interests شما بطور شفاف چی هست. این مهم هست که شما دقیقن به چی علاقه دارید و خوب به طبع زمینه ی کاری استاد هم هست.

همچنین بجای I am due to defend it in the near future
بگید I am ABOUT to defend it soon

دوستان ممنون میشوم نظرشون رو در مورد این ایمیل بفرمایند (در پاسخ به ایمیل استاد دوم که برای من ارسال کرده بود)؛

I’m going to apply for “Fall 2013” and you will find my TOEFL score in the attached file. I haven't taken GRE exam yet (I will take it on 20th this October). As the scoring system in Iranian’s universities is on 20 scale so I wrote my GPA in 20 scale, too

I’m interested in doing research on “Light Timber Frame Constructions” with emphasis on their “Dynamic Evaluation and Properties”. Because I’m preparing myself for GRE exam and work as a part time employer too, I need little time, a week or maybe two, to specify some potential research topics
