FIRST AND ONLY NOTICE TO ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AT THE CANADIAN EMBASSY IN PARIS
Date:
Time:
Place: Canadian Embassy, Immigration Section
35, avenue Montaigne, 75008 PARIS
Metro station: Franklin Roosevelt or Alma Marceau
Bus lines : 80 or 42 (Montaigne / François 1er stop)
YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE AT THE INTERVIEW BY E-MAIL AT: paris-immigration@nternational.gc.ca AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT NO LATER THAN 10 DAYSBEFORE THE INTERVIEW DATE
Dear Applicant:
An interview is required in order for us to assess your application for permanent residence to Canada and to determine whether you are able to meet the criteria for admission to Canada in the category in which you have applied. You are invited to attend at the date and time indicated above.
This is your ONLY interview notice. If you do not attend the interview as scheduled and if we do not receive a written request to withdraw your application before your scheduled interview date, the examination of your application will be completed based on the material available in your application.
Given the large number of files in our office awaiting interview and given the fact that many applicants were not presenting themselves for their scheduled interview, we have decided to grant only one interview date per applicant.
Please confirm your attendance no later than 1 month before the interview date. If you do not confirm your attendance, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to conduct the interview as scheduled.
Only you, the principal applicant, are required to attend this interview. Please note that the visa officer may determine at any stage in the processing of your application that an interview with your spouse and/or children is required.
Your interview has been scheduled to allow you time to obtain an entry visa for France, if this is required. Please note that the Canadian Embassy cannot intervene with the French authorities regarding the issuance of visas to our applicants. You may present this letter to them in support of your visa application. No other document will be issued by our office.
The Immigration Officer will conduct the interview in English or French. The information you provide to us during the interview plays an important role in determining your ability to qualify to immigrate to Canada. If you cannot communicate easily in either English or French, you must present yourself at the interview with a professional interpreter (who will have to provide us with proof of his/her qualifications) capable of reading, writing and speaking either English or French.
If you decide to come to the interview without a professional interpreter and we determine that you cannot communicate easily in English or French, the Immigration officer will make a decision on your application based on the information contained in your file and the information provided at the interview. If you cannot answer the interview questions posed by the Immigration officer, your application may be refused.
A list of professional interpreters, accredited in Paris, is available on the following Website:www.ceticap.com. It is YOUR responsibility to contact the interpreter, make all the necessary arrangements and pay the related fees.
The invitation to an interview does not guarantee that a visa will be issued. Even if you are successful at the interview, a visa cannot be issued until all procedures have been completed (medical results, security and criminal verifications, etc.). It may take several months to finalize an application even after the interview. Until then, we strongly advise you not to take any steps to liquidate your belongings, leave your employment or your residence, make travel arrange
DOCUMENTS TO BRING TO THE INTERVIEW :
ALL APPLICANTS MUST BRING:
• this E-mail of invitation to the interview
• a valid passport for each person included in the application (in the absence of a passport, a national identity card or other official document with an identity photograph may be presented)
Yours truly
