I have a PhD talk in the next couple of days in one of universities in Europe

?Actually I had several presentations here in Germany and somehow I know how can I manage it.My question is about dressing in this situation.Should I wear casual or formal one

I think both of them are normal

No.It's a wrong idea.Everybody knows in a scientific presentation dressing and behavior are really important

The most important thing is to look neat and tidy. Casual clothes are suitable for small room presentations. The larger the situation, the more formal it gets. Usually it's better to be overdressed than too casual, but don't overdo it

Thank you, dear Mohammad for creating this interesting topic. Presentation is an important skill especially in the academic area, which unfortunately most of us ignore that .Absolutely, there is an important difference between professional and amateur lecturers and we can differentiate them at the beginning of their talks by for instance the kind of sentences which they use

There are some books in the market that teach you how will have a successful presentation

, I have a nice book about presentation, in the first chapter of book you see some important sentences , expressions and also the order of sentences which a lecturer should use during his/her presentation

Here are some examples, you can memorize them:
At the beginning of presentation you should say (it would be professional if you respect the order of below)

--Good morning ladies and gentleman OR Hi every one.
--First of all, thank you to all you for being here.
--And Let me introduce myself I am.... from.. the name of your university and department..
--As you can on the screen the subject of this presentation is about..
.....
P.S:There are so interesting tips in the book such as, how organize, handle , attract audiences etc…

Hope you can find something like this in the Germany.
