راهنمای بورس های مقاطع تحصیلات تکمیلی
Research higher degrees Scholarships

Research higher degree scholarships are available to support candidates who have an excellent academic record to undertake their research program on a full time basis. There is one main scholarship round each year where scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit including undergraduate grade point average and extra research attainments.
Up to three of the highest ranked domestic applicants will receive a "Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for Outstanding Candidates". They will receive an additional $10,000 per annum on top of the living allowance.
What does the scholarship offer?
  • The 2012 full-time rate provides a living allowance of $23,728 per annum
  • Most international scholarships also cover tuition fees
The Scholarship may include other benefits such as:
  • Thesis allowance
  • Relocation allowance (if required) to the value of an economy airfare
Master's degree scholarships are for two years and PhD scholarships run for three years, less any tenure already completed towards an RHD.

Closing Dates:
International applicants - 31 August each year
Domestic applicants - 31 October each year
Applications received after the closing date cannot be considered for scholarships.
Applications will be accepted by email to researchscholarships@newcastle.edu.au or fax to 61 2 4921 6908 up until midnight of the closing date. Originals of applications, transcripts etc. submitted in this way must be also be posted to the University as soon as possible.
The English proficiency requirement MUST be met by the closing date to be considered for scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
The main eligibility criteria include:
  • An offer of admission for candidature
  • Honours Class One or equivalent - an example of equivalency is a research masters degree. Equivalence may be determined by the Head of School in consultation with the Assistant Dean Research Training
  • Enrolling full time – part time enrolment is available in exceptional circumstances where the candidate has heavy carer requirements such as young children or an invalid parent or where the candidate has an illness that prevents them from studying full time. Part time enrolment will not be approved for scholarship holders where the reason for part time enrolment is work related. Part time scholarships are taxable.
  • For current domestic students – applicants cannot have been enrolled for more than 2 full time equivalent semesters at the end of 2011 for an MPhil (unless upgrading) or more than 4 full time equivalent semesters at the end of 2011 for a PhD
  • For current enrolled international students – applicants cannot be considered again if they were assessed for scholarship in a previous round
  • Applicants must have provided evidence of meeting the English language proficiency level by the closing date
Required documents for scholarship only applications
  • Copies of research publications, exhibitions or conference papers
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Details of previous research experience eg research work experience / study
  • Any additional documents that may add to your scholarship application eg evidence of the award of a University Medal
What happens next?
Applications will be assessed and ranked according to merit
Attendance at an interview is not normally required
Scholarship outcomes will be known in December each year

The Centre for Advanced Particle Processing and Transport is aimed at addressing important problems for the mineral industry, the largest single contributor to Australia's exports. In particular, the research is aimed at developing innovative processes, which maximise the separation of products from waste material, and use methodologies that reduce water and energy usage.

Asthma and Respiratory Diseases
The Research Centre for Asthma and Respiratory Diseases focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular processes that are associated with the development and progression of respiratory diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Bioinformatics, Biomarker Discovery & Information-Based Medicine
The Centre for Bioinformatics, Biomarker Discovery & Information-Based Medicine (CIBM) aims to find methodologies that will shorten the process of obtaining novel discoveries and to use them to obtain distinctively better outcomes in clinical practice and translational individualised medicine.

Chemical Biology
The Centre for Chemical Biology is committed to providing innovative therapeutics for the treatment of human disease. By bringing together research teams of international excellence from chemistry, biology and medicine the Centre will focus on unraveling the causes of disease, identifying crucial biological targets and will pioneer the rapid development of novel drugs for the fight against disease.

Complex Dynamic Systems and Control
The Priority Research Centre for Complex Dynamic Systems and Control specialises in the analysis, design, optimisation and control of dynamic systems. The Centre works on complex systems to try to optimise their performance.

Computer Assisted Research Mathematics and its Applications
The Centre for Computer Assisted Research Mathematics and its Applications (CARMA) aims to develop three interwoven research themes: computer-assisted pure mathematics and its underlying philosophy; enhanced industrial modelling and scientific computation; and improved techniques for teaching mathematics in the presence of technology at tertiary and at earlier levels.

Energy
The Research Centre for Energy aims to take a leading role in the minimisation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, especially carbon dioxide, around the world by developing new and innovative technologies and commercialising these technologies in collaboration with industry, government agencies and international organisations.

Gender, Health and Ageing
The Research Centre for Gender, Health and Ageing focuses on the individual, health, and social factors that affect men and women’s health and well-being as they age, and the ways in which communities and organisations respond to an ageing population.

Geotechnical and Materials Modelling
The Centre for Geotechnical and Materials Modelling focuses on the development of new models and innovative computational methods for predicting the behaviour of geomaterials, metals, and composites.

Health Behaviour
The Health Behaviour Research Centre is concerned with improving the health of the community through intervention and service delivery to promote healthy behaviours and good quality healthcare.

Organic Electronics
The Centre for Organic Electronics focuses on the scientific challenges in the development of organic photovoltaics, with massive potential for the next generation of environmentally friendly energy sources, photonics and biosensors.

Physical Activity and Nutrition
The Priority Research Centre in Physical Activity & Nutrition takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to understanding physical activity and nutrition for population health, with particular emphasis on education and health promotion strategies for chronic disease prevention, treatment, and wellbeing.

Reproductive Science
The Centre for Reproductive Science aims to address one of the Australian Government's most important national research priorities — 'A Healthy Start to Life' — by improving the health of pregnant women and providing key information on the determinants of a healthy start to life.

Translational Neuroscience and Mental Health
The CTNMH is a unique research entity in Australian terms, bringing together high-quality neuroscience research in nationally important areas including Schizophrenia, Stroke, Affective & Addictive Disorders, Pain & Sensory Dysfunction, Development, Ageing & Cognition, Translation & Implementation, and Imaging & Web Based Technologies. The Centre aims to build tight linkages across multiple levels of enquiry and between basic neuroscience, clinical neuroscience and mental health and neurological health service delivery

با سلام!

ددلاین بورس برای تحصیلات تکمیلی تحقیق محور فقط یک بار در سال هست و ددلاین آن برای دانشجویان خارجی ماه آگوست میباشد!
نکته مهم در گرفتن بورس این داشنگاه این است که برای در نظر گرفته شدن برای بورس، باید و حتما مینیمم نمره زبان را برای دانشگاه ارسال کرده باشید!
بدون نمره زبان برای بورس این دانشگاه در نظر گرفته نخواهید شد!

رزومه، نمره زبان، کپی مقالات ژورنالی و کنفرانسی، سوابق تحقیقاتی، سوابق کاری و هر گونه Support Document که باعث بهبود رزومه شما شود، جداگانه برای پروسه بورس باید ارسال شود!
شرایط، مدارک و جزئیات بیشتر در پست شماره 2 موجود است!

مینیمم زبان برای در نظر گرفته شدن برای بورس تحصیلات تکمیلی تحقیق محور:

Applicants whose first language is not English must submit
evidence by the closing date (31st August) of attaining:

a TOEFL score of at least 575 (minimum score of 4.5 in the TWE) – paper based test
Computer based test requires score of at least 232, minimum score of 4.5 Essay Rating
An internet TOEFL test with overall score of 93 with no subtest score less than 21
IELTS score of at least 6.5 with no individual subtest score less than 6.0.
